I have not had very much fun this week. I stayed home most nights so I could watch TV online. I have not gone out with my friends even though they have invited me to go out almost every single day. My friends think that I’m becoming a hermit but I do not agree because I do not think that they know me as well as I know myself and I know that I will snap out of this funk soon. They say that all I ever do is sit around in my room and I’m not fun anymore and I do not do all the fun things we used to do but play video games and hang out. But I do not like playing video games and hanging out and I wish that they would just come over and watch TV online with me because that seems a dishonest thing in the world to do.

After doing more research, I’ve learned that Lovefilm is Britain’s largest supplier of both games and movies. Apparently, they offer more than 70,000 movies. That’s a lot! To put that in perspective, it is reported that Blockbuster has around 60,000 titles and I had always assumed they are the largest and most well-known video store. As another comparison, Netflix has around 90,000 movies but that is for their DVD by mail service. Their streaming movie service is much more limited but that’s a completely different story. Netflix is currently have some problems with both their service and pricing structure so we’ll see what happens with them over the next few months. Anyway, if you are interested in a Lovefilm free trial UK, it is not that hard to find online. Unlike most other people, I am not a fan of the Yamaha P85 or the Yamaha P95. In fact, I am not a fan of any Yamaha that is under $999.99. You might be wondering why. Well, that’s because the most important factor in a digital piano is the feel of the keys. The Yamaha keys are too light until you get to the Yamaha P-155 or the Yamaha CP33 for $999.99.

I won’t go into detail about the specific models. Instead, I’ll talk about the GHS action keyboard and the GH action keyboard. The GHS action keyboard is what Yamaha puts into their cheaper digital pianos. You can say that they are installed onto the entry-level ones. On the other hand, the GH action keyboard is put into the more advanced digital pianos. What’s the difference? The weight.

Many of you are probably thinking, “Can the weights of the keys really make that big of a difference?” Yes, they most definitely can. In fact, the keys are the most important factor. Without properly weighted keys, you will start to have bad habits that will be hard to break out of. In addition, how you play the piano depends so much on expression and the “feel” of the piano. Not having properly weighted keys can ruin all that.

The GH action keyboard is much too light. I will never consider buying one or telling my students to get one. Pay the extra money and get the GH action keyboard. It’s just so much better.

Many film scouts look for places and locations that will suit their project or most resemble whatever is in the script they’re dealing with. Some places, like Los Angeles are over used as big screen material – not to mention expensive nowadays. Interestingly though, Alaska is seemingly not very popular with filmmakers, or at least I haven’t seen anything recently set anywhere in Alaska (though there is that film "Hanna", though it could have been set partly in Canada). Not that you want the state teeming with obnoxious film types with their big budgets and little regard for the surrounds. Perhaps their aversion to it is a good thing. From a purely cinematic viewpoint though, Alaska is priceless and more befitting a screen of the IMAX variety. Anchorage photographers could have a lot to offer to the average cinematographer if he or she was looking for a wild untamed natural wilderness to grace their film.
