After doing more research, I’ve learned that Lovefilm is Britain’s largest supplier of both games and movies. Apparently, they offer more than 70,000 movies. That’s a lot! To put that in perspective, it is reported that Blockbuster has around 60,000 titles and I had always assumed they are the largest and most well-known video store. As another comparison, Netflix has around 90,000 movies but that is for their DVD by mail service. Their streaming movie service is much more limited but that’s a completely different story. Netflix is currently have some problems with both their service and pricing structure so we’ll see what happens with them over the next few months. It was made before the civil rights movement, and when segregation was a pretty serious issue. But they remade it to take out those harsh things.
