Imagine being stored in a tight space and stored for a number of years. The moment on being set free could be seen as a great joy. This is the case for the wines of the world after several years of maturing. Decanting wine is like being let out of captivity and one would need to specially treat the wine on exiting. Nothing else allows for better treatment than a wine aerator. They allow older wines achieve full transparency, precision, and true color, while young vintages have a probability to open and develop. Transferring wine in the wine aerator allows the wine to be exposed to more exterior area and oxygen, thus opening it up to its full potential and latent. Variation does occur with every wine aerator but the key is choose an adequate aerator to complete the task of full treatment. Would you like to be treated once set free from captivity? I’m sure wines will agree with you.
